TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COMPARESTACK AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL FEES, IF ANY, THAT YOU PAID US TO USE THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (FREE USE TYPICALLY MEANS ZERO FEES).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
